We have so much to be thankful for here at the Koozer house, even during our trials, I am so grateful to have the hope that is in me! Though I could quite easily find myself sulking because what Thanksgiving has looked like for nearly every year of my adult life has changed. We would normally spend this day at my parent's home with sisters and brothers and nieces and nephews. But this year, with my parents moving to Georgia, it has brought a different flavor to our day. For the first time in at least 15 years, I have to bake the turkey (Courtney has assumed the responsibility of finding the best techniques available from The Food Network). And we have 1 friend coming to our home for the day, our dear friend Miss Carla. Though it will be different from what we are used to we are looking so forward to embracing this day fully in reflection of what our forefathers have done for us and truly celebrate the freedoms that we can still embrace today, to worship the One true God of this universe. I am thankful that we can now begin a tradition of our own, in our home, with our own family, perhaps one that will be carried over for years to come. I am especially thankful this year to have my entire family living in harmony in our home. It is such a huge blessing to have Courtney here and for the first year our little Ava too! She has brought much joy to our lives and many lessons as well!
We have already began to set 1 new tradtion this week as a friend sent us a great link to Homeschool Radio Shows. This will be a weekly tradition in our home as we listen to these oldie but goodies radios shows. You too can enjoy them by going to www.homeschoolradioshows.com and listen to these shows that were aired in the 40's & 50's (my guess). Our girls LOVE them and we giggle our way through most of them! This next week we will be taking off of school and preparing for Thanksgiving Day in our home. We hope that you are enjoying this wonderful time of year in yours! Happy Thanksgiving!

We have never really had holiday traditions. Every year is different. I always enjoy them anyway. This year we plan to stay home for Thanksgiving. Chay and Richie are coming over.
For Christmas we are going to Illinois. My grandpa is turning 90 in the beginning of December so we are also going to have a big party for him while we are down there.
No matter how many traditions are set, each new year brings a different memory anyway...traditions are something we value though.
