Our Gratitude For Family & Friends

The Lord has used so many people this past week to show us His love. He started by giving us a plethora of help on Saturday. We were at our house loading up with the help of my brother Patrick, his wife Michelle, and Michelle's dad Bob, when Rhonda & Brian Smith arrived. Everyone came in to lend a helping hand and they were such a blessing to us! Everyone of them worked tirelessly to aid our move. Then the girls and I headed to my friend Carla's house to pick her up and she came to help me prepare food for everyone who was helping (My sis Michelle also contributed with the best cookie bars & banana bread ever!). When we got to the house all of us girls started unloading what we had in our vehicles and started putting things away. Then the guys showed up and I was a little concerned at first as the only guys then consisted of Charlie and Patrick. But soon after rolled in Chay & Richie...were we happy to see them! The guys, Rhonda, and Michelle worked on unloading, while I concentrated on the food. Then just as we sat down to eat rolled in Johnathon and Andrew. They must have a knack for this kind of thing! So we all ate. Then we abused Johnathon & Andrew for a while by making them suffer through our indecisiveness about how our living room should be arranged. And after many contemplations their job was done. Michelle's dad, Bob showed up to help more after he had already helped in the morning and went to work for a few hours. Michelle stayed and helped me with some more unpacking that night and we all got up in the morning to go to church. Then Michelle & her dad, Bob, met Charlie & me at our old house to get another small load. They drove all the way back up to Leesburg with us to unload. But I was tuckered out and didn't have much work left in me at that point, so they headed back to Peru. The final topping was Michelle called us on Monday night and said, "your house here in Peru is clean!" She had gone over there and cleaned that dirty ol' house for us! Not just once but on a return visit too! We really appreciate each of you and the sacrifices you made on our behalf! We never could have accomplished all we did, in the time we did, without you!
